Understanding that physician engagement is crucial to Morristown Medical Center?s performance, in 2018 the director of hospitalists partnered with the director of clinical services to create the ?Adopt a Doc? program. The goal of pairing physician chairs with senior administrators for daily rounding was to identify areas of strength and opportunities for improvement and support high-volume/high-scoring areas. In this session, attendees will learn how the facility used Press Ganey data to identify areas of strength or improvement in advance of rounding, how they shared information and progress within the organization, and the surprising benefits of pairing staff members who did not regularly work together.
