Recently implementing Business Intelligence (OBIEE), Kaiser Permanente encountered many challenges. This session will focus on the critical aspects of Kaiser's project including identifying the issues to be included, determining the appropriate key performance indicators (KPI), selecting the correct software and assuring all hardware requirements were met. Adding to the complexity of Kaiser's implementation was the need to analyze transactional data to determine the true level of effort, how to leverage delivered ETLs, analytics and dashboards, how to transfer knowledge to internal staff, and how to handle the business after the staff was exposed to Business Intelligence. During the discussion, hear how to set a realistic scope and timeline and use the correct implementation team.
