Given the rising rates of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), the need for professionals to be informed about effective ways to address this challenging population is growing in urgency. In this workshop, I will demonstrate ways to integrate hypnotic and strategic interventions with visual strategies and story telling. While the emphasis in this workshop is on children with ASD, the strategies presented are relevant and appropriate to apply to other client populations who also have social language difficulties

During and at the conclusion of this session, the attendee will be able to:
-> List 3 symptoms common to individuals on the Autism Spectrum that impact social language deficits;
-> List at least 3 strategies for intervening in social language deficits; and
-> List at least 3 specific visual strategies that can be incorporated with hypnotic approaches.
