We'll review real-world examples that will show you how to apply
statistics using HR data and problems. Using familiar desktop tools, Mike
Harmer and Alan Bainbridge will discuss each example, demonstrate
how to analyze the data, explore optimal data visualization, and then
discuss the results in business terms and review useful conventions for
interpreting statistics. You will walk away with all the example HR data
sets from the session, and be able to apply the statistical analysis to your
own data back in the office.

Mike Harmer, HRIP, Director, HR Analytics & Technology, Intermountain
Healthcare, is responsible for HR's data sciences function. He has
extensive experience in human capital analytics, data warehousing, and
workforce planning, as well as human capital management technologies
including HRMS and integrated talent management.
Alan Bainbridge, HR Senior Research Analyst, Intermountain Healthcare,
brings an understanding of applied statistical analysis to Intermountain's
Analysis and Workforce Solutions team. He has a background that
combines statistics, employee/customer engagement consulting, survey
design, feedback analysis, and social sciences.
