Lean 3.0 - Flow = A Practical Path to Using Lean to Improve Process Flow
John Sweigart, Steve Trapp
Audio Sample:
This course assumes attendees have a basic background of lean tools, and offers a "deep dive" into improving the "flow" of vehicles, people, parts, supplies and information. We will discuss connecting the value adding steps into a chain and how the 10 rules of flow have been applied to collision repair. Gain a true understanding of the impact of these principles on daily production, management, and how they have been applied to the administrative processes. Attendees will be provided a production planning tool in excel to go back and use to implement these principles.
Learn:
· Which lean processes can impact the flow of work through a repair center.
· How to apply flow principles to your daily production planning sessions.
· How to use "takt" and "heijunka" tools to gather data on flow and focus your flow improvement problem solving efforts.
